On Saturday, the rallycross season will conclude at Biķernieki with an unprecedented night show and decisive battles for the championship titles.

On Saturday, 19 September, the 2026 Latvian-Lithuanian and Baltic Rallycross Championship season will conclude at the Biķernieki Circuit with the most ambitious show programme to date. “LV BET Night Rallycross” will be the culmination of the season, with one hundred motorsport competitors battling for crucial championship points, while spectators will also be treated to freestyle motocross performances, a buggy show, and a spectacular drone and pyrotechnics show.

Night Rallycross at Biķernieki will take place for the fifth time. As always, motorsport and technical skill will remain at the heart of the event, but the organisers are deliberately developing it into a large-scale entertainment experience, with a varied programme and plenty of surprises for spectators.

“We are organising the night race for the fifth year, and this year we have paid particular attention to the show programme. In my opinion, a show programme of this scale has never before been staged at a motorsport event in Latvia. We are creating a new product: a show, not just a motorsport event. We will have an excellent line-up of drivers, great battles at the season finale, grandstands, screens, and an unprecedented, spectacular event. This event also brings added value to Riga and Latvia, as international drivers come to compete, accompanied by their teams and supporters,” says race organiser Māris Breicis.

The final round of the season promises particularly intense racing, as only a few points separate the leaders in several classes of the Latvian-Lithuanian Championship ahead of the finale. In some categories, the standings are extremely close, meaning the final round could completely reshuffle the order. Every qualifying heat and final could prove decisive in determining the championship titles. The climax of the competition is expected on Saturday evening, when the decisive finals of the season will take place under the lights at the Biķernieki Circuit.

Some of the most exciting and spectacular racing is expected in the Supercar class. Supercar competitors have appeared on the starting grid only a few times this season, but the class now returns not only with a prize fund provided by SIA “MKM mežs”, but also with the newly crowned 2026 FIA European Rallycross Champion in the RX3 category, Riti Gurkli.

The organisers also encourage spectators not to miss the BMW RX 3000 final, where every finalist will have the opportunity to win a EUR 1,000 prize and become the “Start King”. The cash prize and title will go to the driver who is first to reach the designated marker after the opening corner of the circuit.

The Rallycross.lv 2026 season began at Biķernieki in April. Throughout the season, competitors in the Latvian-Lithuanian Championship have raced in Riga, Poland, Lithuania and Bauska. Now the championship returns to the capital to determine the winners of the 2026 season.

On Saturday, the racing programme will begin at 10:30 with the first qualifying heat. Three qualifying heats are scheduled throughout the day, while alongside the racing spectators will be able to enjoy the “SBA Freestyle” freestyle motocross show and the SDK buggy show.

At 19:10, the Yaris 1000, Cross Car Mini and Cross Car Junior finals are scheduled to take place. After 21:00, once darkness has fallen and the Biķernieki Circuit is illuminated, the main finals for the remaining classes will begin, featuring specially illuminated race cars. Every year, competitors put considerable effort into decorating their cars with impressive lighting, and a special prize will be awarded to the most spectacularly illuminated car.

The culmination of the event is scheduled for 22:40, when a drone and pyrotechnics show will light up the skies above Biķernieki. The show will be accompanied by a freestyle motocross performance and the 2026 season awards ceremony. The organisers advise spectators that the event schedule may be subject to change depending on developments on the track.

One example is combining drones with pyrotechnics, which we will also bring to the Biķernieki Circuit show. We will try to showcase the spectacle of rallycross in a slightly unconventional way, creating a special experience for visitors and celebrating the competitors’ victories together.”
