On 18 and 19 September, one of the most spectacular and exciting events marking the finale of the motorsport season will take place at Biķernieki Circuit in Riga: LV BET NIGHT RALLYCROSS.
Over two days, the decisive battles of the rallycross championship will unfold on track, reaching their climax after dark, when the season-defining final races will take place under the lights at Biķernieki Circuit. At least 10 powerful Supercars are expected on the starting grid, while an extensive entertainment programme will add to the unique atmosphere of Night Rallycross, featuring the largest drone and pyrotechnics show in the Baltics, world-class freestyle motocross performances and other activities.
One of the most anticipated highlights of LV BET Night Rallycross will be the Supercar battles, with at least 10 four-wheel-drive rallycross cars expected on the starting grid. Supercar is the most powerful and spectacular class in rallycross, combining four-wheel drive, impressive acceleration and extremely close racing off the start line and into the opening corners. This year, the MKM MEŽS SUPERCHARGE special prize fund will provide additional motivation for the drivers. The TOP 3 drivers will share a substantial cash prize, adding another intense battle for a place on the podium alongside the fight for championship honours.
The BMW RX3000 “Start King” challenge has already become an integral and always exciting Night Rallycross tradition. The start is one of the most decisive moments in rallycross, and in the BMW RX3000 class, where the racing is always particularly close, the opening seconds promise plenty of drama. The driver who is first to reach the designated point after the first corner will be crowned the “SKY POWER Start King” and receive a €1,000 cash prize from SIA Sky Power. Reaction time, traction and precision in the battle for the first corner will make all the difference.
LV BET Night Rallycross will offer much more than intense racing on the track. One of the highlights of the event will be the largest drone and pyrotechnics show in the Baltics, featuring a specially created drone choreography above Biķernieki Circuit, complemented by lighting and pyrotechnic effects. Together with the illuminated circuit and rallycross cars, it will create a spectacular atmosphere for the finale of the motorsport season.
Between the rallycross battles, spectators will also be entertained by special guests with a world-class “SBA Freestyle” freestyle motocross show. SBA, or Super Bad Alex, is the nickname of well-known Latvian freestyle motocross rider Mārtiņš Aleksandrovičs and the name of the show programme he has created.
During LV BET Night Rallycross, two top-level freestyle motocross athletes will amaze spectators with spectacular jumps and complex trick combinations on motocross bikes. One of them will be Sebastian Westberg, who has competed at the prestigious Red Bull X-Fighters event in Madrid and finished in second place. The jumps will cover a distance of approximately 25 metres and reach heights of up to 12 metres, comparable to the height of a three-storey building. While airborne, the riders will perform a variety of acrobatic manoeuvres, including backflip combinations.
The night theme will continue beyond the racing itself with a car illumination competition, where creative lighting and technical solutions will transform cars into part of the overall Night Rallycross show. Over two days, motorsport and entertainment will come together at Biķernieki, featuring the decisive championship battles, racing in the reverse direction, at least 10 Supercars, night finals, special cash prizes for drivers, freestyle motocross, drones and pyrotechnics.
Spectators can purchase tickets for the classic Grandstand A, offering an excellent view of some of the most intense action on the circuit, including the starts and battles for position through the first corner. Parking will also be available within the Biķernieki Complex Sports Base, with access through Gate 9. Tickets are available at Biļešu Serviss box offices and online. Ticket prices may vary depending on service fees applied by the ticket provider.
