On September 13, motorsport fans will gather at Biķernieki track for this year’s most spectacular season-closing event – the Rallycross finals. In one day, the Latvian-Lithuanian and Baltic champions will be crowned, and the Polish Rallycross Championship will also join with the Cross Car class.
Spectators can expect fierce battles for the 2025 championship titles. In the evening – the traditional Night Rallycross and an auto-moto show with a specially prepared festive program and surprises. Drivers are excited about this night stage, now in its fourth year, as racing in the dark has its own magic – the battles on track feel faster, more impressive, and more thrilling. The adrenaline-filled atmosphere grips both the track and the stands. Before the grand finals, spectators will enjoy an auto, moto, and fireworks show created in collaboration with Latvia’s leading pyrotechnics masters and representatives from different auto and moto disciplines.
A special guest – European-level Streetbike Freestyle rider Didzis Grundulis, whose performances always delight the audience. The motorsport celebration will also feature a drift show – drifter Edgars Kroģeris will thrill fans with his powerful BMW.
This year, the children’s class Cross Car Mini made its debut, with seven youngsters from Latvia and Lithuania taking part. The champion is already known – 7-year-old Marians Bērzkalns. The winners in other classes will be determined on the evening of September 13. The biggest intrigue is expected in Yaris 1000, Super 2000, and BMW RX 3000 categories, where leaders will have to defend their positions. The title fights promise to be intense from the very first qualifying runs, as every point could decide the top three places.
Event organizer Jānis Bergs says:
“Every year, Rallycross.lv grows bigger, and this year we’ve started cooperation with Polish rallycross drivers. We’ll see them in the Cross Car class in Riga. The line-up is strong, and we’re heading toward new record numbers, with 113 entries already submitted. Registration closes on September 11, when the full list of participants for the Latvian-Lithuanian, Baltic, and Polish championship finals will be confirmed. Continuing the night racing tradition launched last year, in cooperation with SIA ‘MB Holding’ we will crown the BMW RX 3000 class ‘Start King.’ The first driver to reach the marker after the start will win a €1000 cash prize. On September 13, Biķernieki will host a true motorsport festival, and we invite everyone with petrol in their veins to the Night Rallycross.”
